Yoink is a drag-and-drop utility for Mac that moves files, apps, and basically anything that can be dragged to their destination. It acts like a shelf where you can put your files—one at a time or all at once—and then send them anywhere on your computer. Lightning fast.
Customizable size and position
This is your shelf, so you can place it wherever you want. Adjust the window size in the Yoink menu – from smaller to larger. Then choose the most optimal location for Yoink on your screen from the six options. You can also define the conditions for displaying Yoink in Settings > Behavior.
Behavior like Finder
Yoink is easy to get used to because you don’t have to force yourself. Based on Finder’s behavior for moving and copying files, it instantly integrates into your workflow. Just like in Finder, use the Command key to force move items and the Option key to force copy.
Convenient keyboard shortcuts
You can set Yoink to appear when you start dragging items or moving them to the edge of the screen, so you don’t have to launch the app every time. To quickly return what you’ve deleted from Yoink, use a long press. To save the current clipboard content, double-tap. No need to bother.
Handoff between devices
If you additionally install Yoink for iPhone and iPad, you can use the app to move texts, files, and more between Apple devices. Make sure your Mac is compatible with Handoff, and start your files’ journey across devices.
Combine elements for convenience
Drop multiple items into Yoink and it will automatically group them into stacks. Split stacks within the app, reorganize them, or move them as a group – Yoink takes the hassle out of it so you can do more with less.
Clipboard history
Yoink can remember up to 20 of any items copied to the background. Activate the Clipboard History Widget in the Notification Center and easily retrieve the clipboard contents from the widget or directly from Yoink using the context menu.
